Photography

It’s not much yet but it is a start. I need a ton of practice and then maybe some professional equipment but it is my goal to be a professional photographer. It may never become a full-time gig but I want to learn more and improve and be able to do awesome family portraits, senior pictures, sports photography etc.

If anyone has suggestions on how I can accomplish this I’m open to your ideas. My plan is to read up on different techniques, practice on my family and whoever will let me take their picture and slowly acquire the necessary equipment to take great photos. I’ve also looked into possibly taking courses from the community college. I’ve already read 4 books from the public library and I’ve learned how to use a lot powerful features on my camera. I don’t have an SLR camera (which is pretty much necessary to be a pro) but I have a fancy digital camera where I can change aperture, iso speed, flash strength, etc. and have better control of the photo. I also am pretty handy with photo editing software.

Here is the site I created to post my best work. http://www.stubblefields.org/micah/WebAlbums

  1. When you are a famous photog we will pull out some of the family videos you shot when you were just a wee lad – just to keep you humble. All will need to take motion sickness meds before viewing though. The photos you posted are worthy of framing. Aside from the photos of the fam, my fav is the one of Calif coast!

  2. Photography is awesome, but this is for Sarah! This is Kathryn from freshman year. How are you? Congratulations on your pregnancy and your other beautiful boy. Check out my blog to see my 15 month old boy. I found you on Lisa’s blog.
