Costume Cuties Contest
I found this website with cute kids in costumes and you vote for the one you think is the cutest. Don’t you think number 16 is the most adorable? Ok, ok…we went to a city trunk or treat and there was a lady taking pictures for this costume contest. So we thought, “what the heck lets get some pictures of Jackson!” Well, he didn’t really want to have his picture taken because we were out at a park and there was a really cool playground right there! Oh well, at least there was one decent shot.
We hope everyone has a great Halloween and sends us the pictures!

Lazy Sunday
Here are some pictures from our walk today. We visited some goats, chickens, horses and other fun animals. I also took a picture of our house where you can see our newly added rocks and weed/grass lawn. I’ll post a before picture so you can see how much we’ve done to improve the curb appeal of the house. There’s still a long way to go.
It’s a girl!
I will post clips from the ultrasound when I get a chance but we thought we’d make sure and let everyone know we’re having a girl. We had the ultrasound last Tuesday, luckily. (that’s a story we don’t need to tell – Let’s just say it was the second day of my new job we ended up being almost an hour late). We’re excited and nervous to have a girl. I was hoping we would be able to pass all of Jackson’s clothes down to the next child. We’ll just have fun finding cute girl clothes.
Everything appears to be healthy and normal. The technician did a very thorough check of all the vitals. We’ll even get another ultrasound next month because she couldn’t get a great view of some vessels near the heart.
In other news – I’ve been at my new job for a week now. I take a bus from Riverton to downtown Salt Lake every day then I have to take trax up to the U. The company is Aculus and they’re working on getting an office downtown which will be right by one of the bus stops so I will have a direct ride to work. The people here are nice and the work will be challenging. So far I’ve just been learning and adjusting.
Camera Love

Here are some of our latest pictures of our little guy. He loves to make funny faces and then see himself on the computer screen. He’s 18 months now and at his appointment yesterday he was in the top 95% for height and head size and 75% for weight. He’s so great.
Anyway, last night we had our block party – it went pretty well, except the road blocks we got from the city that we put up didn’t work very well. Several people just decided they were entitled to bypass them even though they didn’t live on the street – and a few people came speeding down the street! So, we decided to move the road blocks over to make it a bit harder for people to get by but, near the end of the party, a police officer pulled up and said they had a complaint about us blocking the road off. He said I needed a permit, but when he found out it was a street “get to know your neighbors” block party and that we had several little kids he said he would leave the road blocks up and told me he was totally in favor of what we were doing! Kinda funny – last year we invited a police officer to our block party, and blocked off the road, and I never heard from the city or from the police officer that I needed a permit! Oh well, we were happy it turned out fine and we’ll get the permit for next year (if we’re here)!
