Lacey’s “Happy To You!”

Lacey had a fabulous birthday! She woke up early and Micah took her out to breakfast. It sounded like they had a pretty good time. When they came home, Jackson and I sneaked out and picked up some balloons – we brought them back and yelled, “Happy Birthday!!!” when we gave them to her – Jackson had it all planned out. Lacey opened a few presents in the morning and got a little mermaid doll from grandma and a swimsuit from us… and then she wanted to go swimming! So we packed up after lunch and swam at the YMCA. She had a blast! I wish I didn’t forget my camera. We all took a rest when we got home, then had pizza and cake and ice cream for dessert. After baths a few of her favorite people came over with a few more presents to open. We let her take her toys into her room last night at bedtime since she had such a good nap, and she played with them for quite a while before falling asleep.
We love our Lacey-girl! She is a sweet sister and adores her brother and baby. She is full of energy and keeps us laughing – she loves to be funny! I am so grateful to have her in our family!

Happy Birthday To You Lacey Girl!

Baby Rachelle

Here’s our precious little girl! She is the sweetest little baby. She was born March 1st about 6:15 AM. Everything went really well. I was surprised at how fast the surgery went and recovery has been pretty smooth.
We had the hardest time naming her… the name tag on the hospital bassinet was Rachel. None of the names we had thought about were really fitting, and even though Rachel was my go-to name if nothing else fit,  it just didn’t sound right as I kept hearing the nurses call her that. They gave us until 2:00 the day we were leaving to turn in the birth certificate worksheet, and it took us until the last minute to write in the name.

We love our sweet baby Rachelle!!!

nozxcAJ or … Jackson

Jackson has been learning his letters really well in preschool this year.  First he could write his name with prompts for each letter.  Now he can write his name from memory and this is what it looks like.  This is how he writes it.  Right to left, J and C are usually backwards and k is always an x. If I try to correct him he always says that his teach told him he could do it like that.  I’m proud of our Big Jackson Boy.  One of my proudest moments was when I sat in to listen to his first prayer in Primary.  He did the whole thing by himself.  I was very surprised because he usually shies away from doing things in front of an audience.  He’s an awesome little sunbeam.

How Cute

This morning I dropped Jacks and Lacey off at my sister’s house for my doctor’s appointment and she and my sisters surprised me with a gift certificate to get a pedicure! Lori said she could watch my kids if I went from my dr’s appointment to get my nails done. It was a great pedicure with an excellent foot and leg massage, and even compliments on my nice calves ;). The guy kept reminding me, “You’re going to look good when you have that baby!” in his Vietnamese accent. He’s right, they’re beauties! 😀 A big thanks to my sisters!

Baby Names

3 weeks to go and still no name chosen.  We need your help. Edit: I (Micah) got it wrong.  Rianna is supposed to be Riana.  and Sierra is supposed to be Cierra?
