Memorial Day Weekend 2

The weather was crazy last week. Monday and Tuesday were record highs for May. I think we got up to 110 on Tuesday. By Thursday and Friday we were almost to record lows with highs in the 60’s!!!! Plus a good amount of rain. Thursday night we had the missionaries over for dinner and I had ridden my bike to work that day. They called Sarah to see if we could pick them up since it was raining and they didn’t want to ride their bikes. It didn’t seem to be raining much so I started riding home and was going slowly trying not to splash water on myself from the puddles. Halfway home it started to downpour and I was soaked. I decided to just book it home since I was running late. I changed my clothes and picked the missionaries up.

After dinner we put them to work. They helped us put Jackson’s new big boy bed together. We got him a bunk bed (top bunk is stored away for Lacey to use in a couple years). Here is a picture of Jackson doing a rain dance.

Memorial Day Weekend 1

We had a busy past 7 days. Sarah’s brother, Tim got home from his mission Saturday so everyone came in to town to see him. Wednesday Sarah’s sister Michelle came with her kids so she and Sarah got a photographer to take pictures of our kids. Michelle has a baby girl 2 weeks younger than Lacey and two older boys that are close in age to Jackson. It is funny to see Lacey next to Anna because she’s about twice her size. She is such a happy girl too. I was tickling her last night and she was giving me some laughs. When she’s not smiling she’s sleeping so we couldn’t be more pleased with our big little bundle of joy and Jackson is the best big brother ever. He loves sissy!

Voice for the Children

Some of our family has started a blog to discuss current issues considering how they effect our children and the world they will inherit. Many of these contributors are part of a grass roots campaign, called CP80: legislation to fight internet pornography. Check it out VoiceForTheChildren.Blogspot.com

Baby Blessing

Lacey was blessed in Sacrament meeting this Sunday. She squeezed into Sarah’s blessing dress and slept through entire process. She really has been the easiest baby in the world. She loves to talk and smile now and she still loves to eat and sleep. I don’t know how we got so lucky but she sleeps from about 11:30pm until 6:30 am every night.

A Reason to Celebrate

What a huge relief! Our house in Riverton is officially sold, and not a moment too soon. We had a scare this week and we thought we might have to put it back on the market after over a month of being under contract but everything got worked out and we are the proud owners of one less home.
Now I won’t have to ride my bike to work in 115 degree heat this summer!
Stay tuned for pictures from this weekend. G&G Stubz came down for Lacey’s blessing and we got some good photos to post.
