Fun Times
Hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend. We had a nice weekend. We got some rain, colored eggs, ate lots of junk and got a few things done around the house. We didn’t have any Peeps this year but if you have any extra consider using them for FHE tonight.

Jackson’s Happy Birthday
needed a little taste. A little bit later, Mamama showed up at our house and brought some great presents for him to open!
That night we sang happy birthday and served him some more cake and ice cream. He had another great Happy Birthday call from Grandma and Grandpa and then had a couple small presents to open and overall it was an exciting day!
On Friday I had planned to go to Freestone Park, where they have a little train and a few other rides. We invited his best friend Max and three of his favorites, Lori, Mari, and Becca to come with us! Oh man – it was a blast! We fed the ducks, rode the carousel, rode the train and played hard!
Today we decided to go to the Wildlife World Zoo! It was another great time – but no pictures, we forgot the memory card wasn’t in our camera! We took another little train ride, fed the giraffes, and saw tigers, crocodiles, etc, etc, etc! It was a neat zoo trip and we were glad to have Micah there with us! What a big week! Don’t you think we should all have a birthday week?
First Family Campout
Last weekend our ward had a camp out at Roosevelt Lake. We debated whether or not it would be a good idea to go with little kids but Friday morning Sarah got a burst of spontaneity and said “We’re going!” She spent the rest of the day packing us up for our first camping adventure with kids or even as a couple (kind of sad, huh). I got home from work as early as possible, we stopped off at Burger King for dinner and made it to the campsite as it was getting dark. Thanks to the Runyans for the tent they gave us a few years ago.
Jackson love roasting marshmallows. He wasn’t a huge fan of SMORES but he sure loved holding marshmallows over the fire to watch them burn. We then watched WALL-E under the stars on a big screen while Jackson collected big rocks and piled them on our blanket and took a couple breaks to check out the fire again and finish off the marshmallows.
The kids did surprisingly well through the night. Lacey slept in a pack’n’play in the van and Jackson stayed in the tent with us. It took him a while to settle down from his sugar high but he eventually fell asleep. The next day we played for a bit, packed up and visited some nearby ancient cliff dwellings and came home.
