Flag Football
Last night I had a intramural flag football game. I only knew one of the guys on the team I’m on and I haven’t played football in years. I played center and got open for a few passes. Unfortunately, only one pass came within reach and I dropped it. The worst part of the evening was that no one else caught any passes either. We got shut out. We had some good excuses though. It was 6 on 7 and we all didn’t know each other. Oh, and our quarterback wasn’t very accurate under pressure.
Now I’m sore all over, I jammed my finger on my dropped pass and I got knocked in the head my the other team. I think my cheek bone is bruised. On a happy note I weighed myself and made some early measurements. Hopefully me doing this early will remind more people to do it themselves before the end of the week.
I lost another 1.5 lbs so far, 1/2″ in the waist, 1/2″ in the chest, 1/2″ in the thigh, and 1/2″ in the bicep. Also, as of last night I have 8 miles. I plan on getting at least 3-4 more.
I hope everyone else is having success too.
I could hardly get out of bed this morning. My two mile walk on the treadmill felt good while I was doing it, but man o’ man, it killed today. My hip joints are sore, and I have shin splints. It will take me a few days to recover before I can go again. This is what happens when you get old, and don’t use your stuff on a regular basis!!!
Believe me. I’m finding that out. I tried running tonight and couldn’t hard do a mile. I’m sore all over.
