Happy Birthday Jackson

Jackson turned 2 this week. What a big boy! We had a little party for him with Mama-ma and Papa-dad Coons. He has a fun personality. He’s always good for a laugh. He’s usually shy at first with new people. But he warms up easily and can be a firecracker.

He loved the balloons and cake. Some day I’ll post the video of him blowing out his candles over and over again.

He also loved the ice cream, his dump truck, tee-ball set, tractor hat, basketball uniform and pajamas.

Easter

Coloring eggs with a 2 year old is fun but stressful. Our table and Jackson’s hands got dyed more than the eggs did and all the eggs turned out pink and purple because those are the colors Jackson had. It also didn’t help that we didn’t have any vinegar, which makes a big difference. Oh well, he had fun. He did very good finding them in our backyard on Easter.

Away In a Manger

Friday was our ward Christmas dinner that we were in charge of. It went okay except for a few important details that fell through. The people we put in charge of drinks didn’t bring drinks, the grocery store we had cater gave us about half the corn and potatoes they quoted us and the guy that was going to setup a photo studio for family pictures showed up 30 minutes into the dinner rather than 1 hr before. Needless to say, we were running around like crazy at the dinner trying to make it work. The best part was the Nativity. Jackson played a shepherd.

Let It Snow!

Jackson helped me shovel the driveway Saturday morning when we woke up to 4 inches of snow. By the end of the day there was 6-8 inches on the ground. This week we’re going to build a hill in our backyard for Jackson to sled on.
