We spent a couple weeks up at the cabin this summer. We got to go for the 4th of July weekend and week after, and then we spent the last week of July up there too. It was so beautiful! The weather couldn’t have been nicer. It would just start warming up and then the clouds would roll in and a little rain was fall and cool it all off! How refreshing!
It was fun to have Micah with us for the 4th of July weekend, but because the 4th was on a Monday and everyone had to get home for work by Tuesday morning we didn’t really end up having any real festivities. I don’t even know if there were any firework shows because of the fire danger. Mamama and Papa dad, Erin and kids, Steve and Krista, and Tim and Audrey were there with us that weekend. Everyone else left that Monday so for the rest of that week it was just Mamama and us. There was a little stomach bug going around, Jackson got it Monday during the day, then Rachelle had it that night. Mamama had it Tuesday or Wednesday. Me and Lacey made it through without it. It was a quicky so it didn’t ruin the week. We had a lot of fun playing games, being outside, walking to Eddie’s and the train house, playing, playing playing, and enjoying life.
In the end of July we were the last of the group to get up there. Mamama, Lori and kids, Robyn and kids, Dave and Teneal’s girls, and Michelle and kids were there! It was a constant party! There was always someone to explore and catch lizards with, play chess, uno, golf, etc, etc, etc with, wrestle with or paint nails with. The older cousins are the best to let my kids tag along and play with them. Jackson, Lacey and Rachelle love to be with them and really look up to them. They are great. (Rachelle likes to do this funny face now when I pull out the camera – it make me laugh – she’s such a funny little girl)

We played hard and had a great time! While we were there Micah went to a conference and had such a great time in LA. Every night when we talked he was so excited to tell me all about what he had done there. I was happy he was able to go and not worry about us just being left at home, and that we went to the cabin and didn’t just leave him at home. We all had a great time! We all came home on Saturday and it was a great day to be back together. Now its back to reality for all of us!!!
